The ride terrain is heather laden grouse moors, forestry and a few quiet lanes, a challenging route, there are a couple of short hard climbs. Short distance on quiet lanes. Fantastic views of designated area of outstanding natural beauty, natural water supplies on route and water/sloshes at checkpoints as crewing can sometimes involve long drives.
